Our Approach The physicians of Parkcrest Orthopedics welcome the opportunity to treat patients who are injured on their job. Just as we use all the modern tools of orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation to return an athlete to sports, we use the same tools to return a worker to their occupation. As patient advocates, we realize that early return to work results in many benefits for the injured worker, including the prevention of de-conditioning and the psychological sequels of prolonged time off work. Prolonged absence from one’s normal roles, including absence from the workplace is detrimental to a person’s mental, physical and social well being. It is clear that some rare injuries and illnesses leave a worker unable to engage in their occupation and some will be unable to engage in any meaningful occupation. Our job is to identify those that can and should return to work and facilitate their recovery.
